I presented again at this forum, which is the best attended of its type in the country.
I was ask to present on setting up a Business Continuity programme from scratch. I had to do this at an organisation recently and I gave a presentation on learning from my experiences. The theme was “You’ve just landed the BC Manager role…. what do you do now”. It was based around answering 4 main challenges:
- You have limited authority
- You’re responsible for BC (and anything vaguely associated with it)
- You are Priority 99 on people’s list (until you’re not)
- You are asking people to do this properly
As always with the BC Forum, the audience were supportive and gave excellent feedback, as well as some challenging questions!!
